So much to do, not enough time to do it in.

How many times do you hear yourself saying this?

People tell you to prioritise your tasks and/or to delete tasks that are least important to you so you can keep up with things. I will not tell you to prioritise your tasks; I am going to suggest that you get rid of your unfinished emotional business, such as:
  1. Those annoying thoughts that accumulate in your mind for months and years. They take too much space in your mind and can be emotionally debilitating. Like annoying unresolved relationships, that thing you wish you had said or done to your ex. But he/she is till in your mind annoying you. They are emotionally taking space up in your mind when your mind could be more productive, thinking about future achievements, or that new relationship you want to pursue.
  2. That annoying workmate who drives you insane, and you waste your time on the weekend thinking about the mongrel when you should enjoy yourself. What an emotional time waster! You should have fun on your own time.
  3. Whoever peeves you off, identify your emotions, solve the problem, and make space in your mind to fill it with fun stuff. Who would have thought that thinking about crap is a time waster? Time to get rid of your emotional time wasters & unfinished business. Don’t wait for an excuse, do it now!
  4. Close some doors on what no longer serves you and move on. In my work, I have heard people repeatedly rehash their experiences of horrid people. It hangs over their head. It is time to declutter your brain. If it is emotionally draining, it is taking too much time, and you do not have time to think of new relationships, fun, and moving on to the next project.
If you are an author, use time wasters to your advantage. Turn crappy relationships, or obnoxious work mates as characters in your novels. Or if you write self-help books, use it as an example to give people ideas on how to overcome their time wasters, so they can be more productive in life.

New mindset

Time wasters, I leave you far behind.
I’ve removed you from my mind

I have a brand-new mindset
and talents I have yet to implement

New challenges to take on
Oh, I can’t wait to hurry it along

Time wasters, I have taken care of that.
In my life, I will put up with no crap

I have identified who bugs me
I will deal with them differently

My new mindset and new plan
Is going to be grand

So time wasters, good riddance to you
My life is now rich, and that is true.
